Sec. 2-333. Governing board of authority.
The authority shall be under the supervision and control of a governing board. The membership of the board shall be established by the resolution creating the authority in accordance with section 405 of Act 57 and this division. The mayor shall be a member of the board and shall appoint four board members representing the city subject to the approval of the city council. All members other than the mayor shall serve for a term of four years, or until a successor is appointed and qualified, except that the initial terms of some of the members shall be staggered so that subsequent appointments shall not recur at the same time. The board shall also include one member appointed by the Ingham County Board of Commissioners. The board shall include one member representing a community or junior college in whose district the authority is located appointed by the chief executive officer of that community or junior college. Before assuming the duties of office a member shall qualify by taking and subscribing to the Constitutional Oath of Office. An appointment to fill an unexpired term shall be for the unexpired portion of the term only. Members of the board shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses.
