Sec. 78-184. Required positions and methods of turning.
(a)   Right turns. Both the approach for a right turn and the right turn shall be made as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway with the following exception: A bicycle shall remain in single file with all other vehicles preceding it and shall not travel between traffic in the right lane and the curb or edge of the roadway.
(b)   Left turns.
   (1)   A cyclist intending to turn left shall approach the turn in the extreme left-hand lane lawfully available to traffic moving in the same direction as the cyclist; whenever practicable, the left turn shall be made so as to leave the intersection in the extreme left-hand lane lawfully available to traffic moving in the same direction as the cyclist;
   (2)   The cyclist shall approach the turn as close as practicable to the right curb or edge of the roadway; after driving across the intersecting roadway, the cyclist shall stop, dismount and proceed as a pedestrian across the previously traveled roadway; or
   (3)   At the cyclist's discretion, the cyclist shall approach the turn as close as practicable to the right curb or edge of the roadway. Upon reaching the intersection, the cyclist shall stop, dismount and proceed as a pedestrian across the intersecting roadway; and, upon reaching the other side, the cyclist shall then proceed as a pedestrian across the previously traveled roadway.
(c)   Two-way left turns. Where a special lane for making left turns by drivers proceeding in opposite directions has been indicated by official traffic control devices:
   (1)   A left turn as described in subsection (b)(1) of this section shall not be made from any other lane.
   (2)   A bicycle shall not be driven in the lane except when preparing for or making a left turn from the roadway or when preparing for or when making a lawful U-turn.
