The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Department means the police department of the city acting directly or through duly authorized employees and/or representatives.
Identifying number means the combination of numbers, words and/or letters which are stamped, etched or embossed upon and unique to a particular bicycle.
License means an adhesive-backed reflective print or reflective plate issued under the provisions of this article at the time of registration which contains a number unique to that license.
