If any person fails to comply with an order issued pursuant to section 58-37, the zoning official may cause removal of the sign in noncompliance at the expense of the property owner or person having the beneficial use of the property or sign and the cost of abating such nuisance may be assessed against the property in the manner provided by § 11.9 of the city charter. These procedures are optional and shall not preclude resorting to other legal remedies for enforcement of this chapter.
