The Mayor is hereby charged with the administration of the appropriate provisions of this code and may appoint persons to assist in the exercise of the powers and the performance of the duties herein provided, including, but not limited to the members of his or her staff, the Village Attorney, the Village Clerk and the Chief of Police.
