A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office of the Village Clerk, being marked and designated as the most recent edition of the “National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Code,” and all subsequent amendments thereto, and future editions of same as published by the National Fire Protection Association, be and is hereby adopted as the Life Safety Code of the village, setting forth specific requirements that have a direct influence on safety to life in both new and existing structures. The paramount concern being life safety and exclusively protection of property.
