(A) For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
(B) Except as stated in this code and unless a different meaning of a word or term is clear from the context, the definition of words or terms in this code shall be the same as those used in the Act and the Illinois Groundwater Protection Act, ILCS Chapter 415, Act 55, §§ 1 et seq.
ACT. The Environmental Protection Act, ILCS Chapter 415, Act 5, §§ 1 et seq.
AGENCY. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
BOARD. The Illinois Pollution Control Board.
MAXIMUM SETBACK ZONE. The area around a community water supply well established under § 14.3 of the Act and this code. All current/future water wells owned and operated by the village shall have a maximum setback zone of 1,000 feet.
MINIMUM SETBACK ZONE. The area around a community water supply well established under § 14.2 of the Act and this code. All current/future water wells owned and operated by the village shall have a minimum setback zone of 400 feet.
