Before entering into the performance of the duties of a member of the Board, each person appointed to that office shall first execute a fidelity bond, in the penal sum of $100, payable to the People of the Village of Maryville, Illinois, guaranteeing his or her faithful performance of his or her duties as a member of the Board. The fidelity bond shall be in the following form:
I, __________________, bind myself to the People of the Village of Maryville, Illinois that I will discharge faithfully the duties of the office of member of the Maryland Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
The obligation of this bond is limited to $100.
