The “Board” when used in this section shall be construed to mean Board of Zoning Appeals. The Board shall consist of seven members appointed by the Mayor by and with the consent of the Village Board of Trustees. The terms of office shall be five years. The Chairman of the Board shall be elected by a majority vote of the membership of the Board and shall hold his or her office as Chairman for a one year term or until his or her successor is elected by a majority vote of the membership.
