All members of the Planning Commission shall be appointed by a majority vote of the Borough Council. The term of office of the members shall be 4 years. Each member's terms of office shall expire at midnight on December 31 of the 4th year of that member's term, except that all of the members of the previous Planning Commission shall be and are hereby appointed to terms on the Planning Commission hereby created and shall serve terms which shall end on December 31 of the year in which such member's term on the previous Planning Commission would have ended. The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary of the previous Planning Commission shall be and are hereby appointed to the same offices on the Planning Commission hereby created. In the event of a vacancy on the Planning Commission, Borough Council shall appoint a successor to serve the remainder of the 4 year term vacated.
