§ 21-206.   Duty of Property Owners Following Notice to Construct, Reconstruct, or Repair Sidewalk and/or Curb.
When the Borough Council shall order a sidewalk and/or curb to be constructed or reconstructed upon or along any street in the Borough by and at the expense of the owner of the abutting property, the Council shall notify the owner of such property to complete the construction or reconstruction of the same, in strict conformity with the Borough specifications therefore, within 30 days after such notice. When the Borough shall order a sidewalk and/or curb to be repaired upon or along any street in the Borough by and at the expense of the owner of the abutting property, the Council shall notify the owner of such property to complete the repair of the same within 30 days after such notice, such work or repair to be done in the manner and to the extent specified in such notice and in strict conformity with the provisions of such notice. Any failure, refusal or neglect of such property owner to complete such work in conformity with specifications, within the said time limit, shall give the Borough authority to proceed under §1805 of the Borough Code of 1966 to do, complete or rectify the said work and to collect the cost thereof, plus 10% from such property owner in default.
