1. Every person desiring to engage in peddling in the Borough of Marysville shall submit a written application to the Mayor, accompanied by two photographs (2 1/2 inches by 3 inches) of himself or herself, taken within 6 months prior to the date of the application.
2. The application shall state such person's name, age, sex, home address, business address, name and address of employer, if any, what he or she desires to peddle, the make and type of vehicle, if any, he or she will use, its registration number and whether he or she has ever been convicted of a felony, misdemeanor or a crime of any kind involving fraud or intentional misrepresentation or moral turpitude. Such application shall further state the length of time for which he or she wishes to be licensed and the number of helpers he or she has. Provided, where a person makes application for himself or herself and one or more helpers, all applicable personal information specified above shall be required for each helper and each helper shall be required to pay the required license fee and take an individual license.
3. The Mayor shall issue to each applicant a license (to which one of the applicant's photograph shall be affixed) within 15 days from the date of filing of the application. The license shall be displayed prominently by the peddler during such time as he or she shall peddle goods or services in the Borough. The license shall not be issued unless a proper fee, as follows, which shall be for the use of the Borough, shall have been paid to the Mayor. Fees shall be $10 for a license valid for 1 day or fraction thereof; $25 for 1 week or fraction thereof; $50 for a license valid for 1 month or fraction thereof; $250 for a license valid for 1 year or fraction thereof.
4. A license shall not be issued to any person who has been convicted of a felony, misdemeanor or a crime of any kind involving fraud, intentional misrepresentation or moral turpitude and such persons shall not be allowed to engage in peddling in the Borough.
