Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this Part shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days; provided, each day's continuance of violation shall constitute a separate offense; provided further, such fine and costs may be in addition to the costs and expenses of abatement of any nuisance created or maintained as a result of such violation, and any penalty authorized to be charged in addition to such costs and expenses in cases where abatement thereof is done by the Mayor.
