1. The 2018 International Property Code was adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the Borough of Marysville by Ordinance 632 on August 10, 2020. Section 704.2 requires smoke alarms in existing Group I-1 and R occupancies to be installed in the locations specified in Section 704.2.1.1 through 704.2.1.4.
2. The owner of a building in Group I-1 and R occupancies having a fossil fuel-burning heater, appliance, or fireplace or housing an attached garage shall provide and install an operational, centrally located and approved carbon monoxide alarm in the vicinity of the bedrooms and the fossil fuel-burning heater, appliance or fireplace.
