§ 2-183 CRIME CONTROL-FUND 224.
   (A)   A fund is established to be known as the Crime Control-Fund 224, for the purpose of receiving monies from the Metropolitan School District of the city to fund the educational and crime prevention program.
   (B)   The Metropolitan School District of the city has agreed to pay $ 1,200 per month during the 2017-2018 school year, beginning September, 2017, and continuing through June 1, 2018. This funding will be used by the Police Department in teaching a law enforcement educational program, and such program will be approximately 120 minutes per day during the school year.
   (C)   The Crime Control-Fund 224 is established with the intent to utilize funds from the Metropolitan School District of the city to aid in crime prevention through the Police Department, in utilizing the above educational program as well as a DARE program, and other expenses related to crime prevention.
   (D)   This Fund shall be established and shall remain in existence as long as the partnership between the city and the Metropolitan School District of the city for the educational crime prevention program is in existence.
   (E)   The Police Department is authorized to expend the funds from Crime Control-Fund 224 in association with the crime prevention education program operated through the Metropolitan School District of the city, including supplies, materials, and any other monies associated with that particular program, subject to the expenditure not exceeding $12,000 per school year.
