(A) Purpose. The purpose of this section is to amend the posted speed limit and to establish a new speed limit on all roadways located within the Martinsville Jimmy Nash City Park.
(B) New speed limit. From the date that this section is published, the speed limit at the Martinsville Jimmy Nash City Park shall be ten mph and that speed limit shall be posted at various locations within the park.
(C) Enforcement. This section shall be enforced by the city, including the city’s Police Department, as well as the safety officer appointed for the city parks, the Board of Public Works and Safety and any other authorized assignee appointed to enforce this section.
(D) Violations and penalties.
(1) A person who violates this section shall be guilty of an infraction, which is punishable by a fine of $150.
(2) The City Court and/or other court of competent jurisdiction shall have jurisdiction over such violations and penalties.
