§ 38-46 FIRE INVESTIGATIONS.

The Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, or Fire Chief's designee shall perform fire investigations pursuant to I.C. 36-8-17-7. The Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, or the Fire Chief's designee is authorized to conduct an origin and cause investigation of all fires and explosions within the service district. It shall be unlawful for any person to impede the Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, or the Fire Chief's designee, from conducting an origin and cause investigation.
