252.11 ACTING CHIEF.

Whenever any power is vested in or any duty is required of the Chief of Police, the same shall be deemed to extend to and include, and may be exercised by, any deputy, assistant or police officer, unless such construction would be contrary to the terms of the ordinance vesting such power or requiring such duty.
