This subchapter applies to public naming of city buildings, parks, streets, and other fixed public facilities, features, and places in honor of one or more people, organizations, corporations, foundations, or similar entities who achieved a public status worthy of long-term recognition for extraordinary and special efforts, accomplishments, and contributions.
