(A) Officers and employees of the city shall charge a processing fee in the amount of $25 for each check that a person has given to the city that is dishonored for payment, in addition to the amount charged by the bank for the dishonored check. This fee will not be charged if a processing fee has been collected from a person in connection with criminal charges filed against the person based on the dishonored check.
(B) A service charge will be charged each time a check or similar instrument is returned by the bank.
