(A) Acceptance of credit cards for payment of fees, fines, court costs and other charges. Officers and employees of the city may accept credit cards for payment for any fees, fines, court costs or other charges owed to the city.
(B) Fee for processing payments by credit card. Officers and employees of the city shall assess a credit card processing fee in the amount of:
(1) Five percent for any payment up to $100; and
(2) A flat rate of $5 for any payment over $100.
(C) Publication of notice. This section does not impose a penalty, fine or forfeiture, and therefore publication of notice of its adoption is not required under Tex. Loc. Gov't Code, § 52.011.
