(A) There is hereby created a Municipal Court Building Security Fund for the city. Each defendant convicted of a misdemeanor offense in the Municipal Court shall pay a $3 security fee as a cost of court. All fees collected shall be deposited in a separate account in which the Municipal Court Building Security Fund shall be maintained and designated pursuant to this section. The City Municipal Court Building Security Fund shall be used only to finance items when used for the purpose of providing security services for buildings housing the Municipal Court, including those items listed in the Tex. Code of Crim. Proc., Art. 102.017. The Municipal Court Building Fund shall be administered by or under the direction of the City Council.
(B) There is hereby created the Municipal Court Technology Fund. Each defendant convicted of a misdemeanor offense in the Municipal Court shall pay a technology fee in the amount of $4 as a cost of court. The Municipal Court Technology Fund shall be maintained in a separate account and the fund shall be used only to finance the purchase of or to maintain technological enhancements for the Municipal Court, including those items listed in the Tex. Code of Crim. Pro., Art. 102.0172.
(C) There is hereby created the City Municipal Court Efficiency Fund, which shall be dedicated to improving the efficient operation of the Municipal Court of the city. The fee of $2.50 per conviction established by Tex. Loc. Gov't Code, § 133.103, shall be deposited in the Municipal Court Efficiency Fund.
