(A) This chapter is adopted under the authority of the Constitution and laws of the state, including particularly Tex. Loc. Gov't Code, Ch. 212 (Subdivisions), Ch. 242 (Subdivisions in ETJ) and Ch. 42 (Extraterritorial Jurisdiction).
(B) All land subdivided or platted into lots, blocks and streets within the city or within its extraterritorial jurisdiction, as provided by state law, shall comply in full with the requirements of this chapter. No plat shall be filed in the office of the County Clerk for a tract within the city or its extraterritorial jurisdiction unless it is approved by the City Council.
