§ 130.012  LOUD NOISES; NOISES FROM SIRENS AND TIRES.
   No person shall operate any motor vehicle stereo (stereo, tape player, compact disc player, radio or any other sound amplification device) in a public place or on any public right-of-way that can be heard a distance of 50 feet or more from the motor vehicle stereo. The provisions of this section may be enforced following personal observation or hearing, or both, of any police officer or upon receipt of a complaint made or filed with the Police Department by any person observing and hearing a violation. The City Administrator may grant a temporary variance to this section to facilitate special events. The City Administrator is specifically authorized to revoke the grant variance if the applicant shall fail to meet any of the limitations placed upon the grant of the variance or other circumstances occurring subsequent to the grant of the variance requiring such revocation, or both.
