§ 33.040 GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL.
   No member of the Reserve Police Force shall violate the city ordinances or the laws of the state or the United States and such violation may be grounds for summary dismissal.

§ 33.041 CARRYING FIREARMS.
   Members of the Reserve Police Force shall not, at any time, carry any firearms, except as provided by I.C.A. § 80D.7.

§ 33.042 CONFLICTING RULES, REGULATIONS OR BYLAWS.
   Any rule, regulation, constitution or bylaw of the Reserve Police Force, inconsistent with or in violation of this subchapter or the rules and regulations of the city’s Police Department, is repealed.

§ 33.043 OTHER RULES.
   (A)   The Chief of Police shall determine the number of Reserve officers and set their rank structure.
   (B)   The Chief of Police may also create other Reserve officer categories beside those established by Iowa Code.
   (C)   Other categories of Reserves will not, however, be authorized to carry weapons, nor make arrests.

§ 33.999 PENALTY.
   Any violation of chapter shall constitute a municipal infraction punishable as a civil penalty as provided in § 10.999(D) of this code of ordinances.
