(A) The list of job descriptions attached to the ordinance codified in this section describe and classify positions and services, and those job descriptions are adopted as the official job descriptions for all county positions. In the future, as new jobs are added, or the adopted job descriptions change, new job descriptions shall be prepared or updated and presented to the County Council for approval.
(B) The FLSA exempt, excluded and non-exempt classifications attached to the ordinance codified in this section are hereby adopted for the purposes of calculating overtime for employees holding nonexempt positions. Employees holding exempt classification status are not eligible to and shall not receive FLSA overtime or FLSA compensatory time, with the exception of the Sheriff or Captain, Chief Jailer, Communication Supervisor; Nurse/Public Health Nurse; and WIC Coordinator, who shall be paid an hourly rate and eligible for FLSA overtime or FLSA compensatory time.
