(A) The County Executive shall divide the county into three districts that are composed of contiguous territory and are reasonably compact. The Executive may not divide precincts and may divide townships only when a division is clearly necessary to accomplish redistricting. If necessary to do so, the County Auditor shall call a special meeting of the Executive to establish or revise districts.
(B) The county is divided into three County Commissioner election districts designated numerically as follows:
(1) District One. German and North Townships and Precinct One of Polk Township;
(2) District Two. West Township, Precinct Two of Polk Township and Precincts One, Two, Three, Four and Seven of Center Township; and
(3) District Three. Bourbon, Tippecanoe, Walnut, Green and Union Townships, and Precincts Five and Six of Center Township.
