§ 91.09 DANGEROUS ANIMAL RESTRICTIONS.
   No owner or keeper of a domestic animal shall possess a dangerous animal unless the animal is confined in accordance with this section.
   (A)   Exterior confinement area. No owner or keeper shall allow a dangerous animal outside unleashed unless contained within a secure pen or restrained by a chain or other secure device.
   (B)   Confinement on leash. No owner or keeper shall permit a dangerous animal to go outside an exterior confinement area or house unless the animal is securely restrained with a leash no longer than four feet in length. No owner or keeper shall permit a dangerous animal to be kept on a leash unless an owner or keeper is in personal physical control of the leash.
   (C)   Sign required. All owners or keepers possessing a dangerous animal shall display in a prominent place on the premises where a dangerous animal is to be kept a sign which is readable by the public from a distance of not less than 50 feet warning of the presence of a dangerous animal. A similar sign shall be posted next to any exterior confinement area.
   (D)   Removal of dangerous animal. No dangerous animal may be kept in a residential area where the dangerous animal has repeatedly nipped, bitten, or otherwise caused injury to others or has escaped from confinement.
   (E)   Police authority. It is lawful for any police officer to kill any unrestrained dangerous animal.
