No person shall, within the city or within three miles of the outer limits of the city, keep, maintain, frequent, to be an inmate of or connected herewith, or contribution to the support of any disorderly house or house of ill-fame or assignation, or any place used for the practice of fornication or adultery; or knowingly suffer or permit any house or other premises owned or occupied by him or under his control to be used for any such purposes.
