(A) Awnings may be placed over sidewalks without permit from the city, provided there is a clearance of at least seven feet above the surface of the sidewalk.
(B) No person shall permit any tree on his property to overhang any sidewalk by less than eight feet above the surface of the sidewalk or to overhang any street pavement so as to impede traffic on the street.
