(A) Abatement by city. If the nuisance is not abated within the time provided, the Health Officer, Chief of Police or the Building Inspector, or some other city official whom the Commissioner shall designate, may cause the abatement or removal of such public nuisance.
(B) Abatement by court action. As an alternative to abatement by the city, particularly when the public nuisance does not pose a present danger or emergency to the public health, safety, peace, the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety may direct the City Attorney to file an ordinance complaint in the appropriate court.
