(A) For the purpose of this subchapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ACT. P.A. 82-682 entitled “An act relating to the location of sanitary landfills and hazardous waste disposal sites” with amended the “Environmental Protection Act (ILCS Ch. 415, Act 5, §§ 1 et seq.)
APPLICANT. Any person who files a request approval pursuant to this subchapter.
HEARING OFFICER. The person appointed by the Council whose function is to attend and officiate over public hearings on requests for site approval, recommend factual findings, and make recommendations regarding approval or denial of the requests for site approval to the city.
IEPA. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
MEETING. The meaning set forth in ILCS Ch. 5, Act 120, § 1.02.
(B) In addition, all other words used in this subchapter and defined in the Act shall have the same meaning as in the Act.
