§ 90.04 INOPERABLE VEHICLES DEEMED NUISANCE; DISPOSAL OF VEHICLES UPON NOTICE.
   (A)   Inoperable or unregistered motor vehicles, whether on public or private property and in view of the general public, are hereby declared to be a nuisance.
   (B)   All persons are required to dispose of any inoperable or unregistered motor vehicles under their control upon the receipt of written notice received from the corporate authorities or from the Chief of Police or any member of his or her Department designated by him or her commanding such disposition of the inoperable or unregistered motor vehicle. Notice shall be given to the property owner, vehicle owner or other person in control of said vehicle in writing, and may be served personally or by certified mailing. A person owning, or in possession of, an unregistered vehicle may comply with this section by properly registering said vehicle with the State of Illinois.
