A person riding a bicycle shall signal of intention to turn right or left or stop to not less than the last 100 feet traveled by the bicycle. A signal by hand and arm need not be given continuously if the hand is needed in the control or operation of the bicycle. The hand and arm signals shall be those identified in Section 11-806 of the Illinois Vehicle Code as follows:
(A) Left turn. Hand and arm extended horizontally to the left side of the bicycle.
(B) Right turn. Hand and arm extended horizontally and to the right side of the bicycle.
(C) Stop. Hand and arm extended downward.
