§ 39.01 DEFINITIONS.

   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.

   CITY. The City of Marseilles, LaSalle County, Illinois, a municipal corporation of the State of Illinois.

   INSURANCE, LIABILITY INSURANCE and PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE. A policy or policies of insurance insuring against errors, omissions, negligence or neglect of an individual, firm or corporation rendering services to the city.

   PROFESSIONAL. An individual, partnership, firm or corporation rendering professional services to the city.

   PROFESSIONAL SERVICES or SERVICES. The work, advice or services rendered by any professional to the city, including, but without limitation, the following occupations:

      (1)   Attorney;

      (2)   Architect;

      (3)   Engineer;

      (4)   Surveyor;

      (5)   Accountant; and

      (6)   Consultants.
