Every such corporation, company or association as aforesaid, doing business in the city, or any person acting as agent for or on behalf of any such corporation, company or association, shall, on or before July 15 of each year, render to the City Clerk, a full, true and just account, verified by the oath of the secretary or treasurer of such corporation, company or association or verified by the oath of such person acting as agent for or on behalf of any such corporation, company or association. Every such corporation, company or association or any such person acting as agent as aforesaid, shall also at the time of rendering the report, pay to the Clerk the sum of money for which such corporation, company or association is chargeable, by virtue of the provisions of this subchapter.
