(A) Each department employee shall be entitled to and required to take a 30-minute lunch break, at approximately four hours into each employee's regular shift. The lunch break may not be taken at the end of the shift.
(B) Special exceptions to this policy may be made for unusual hours, callout and snow removal. The special exceptions will be at the discretion of the department head and with the approval of the commissioner of the respective department.
