A. It shall be unlawful for any person to sell any firearm, bludgeon, blackjack, slingshot, sandclub, sandbag, metal knuckles, dagger, dirk, billy, dangerous knife, stiletto or any knife commonly referred to as a switchblade which has a blade which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in the handle of the knife to a minor.
B. It shall be an affirmative defense for any person having sold such weapon that:
1. The minor procured the sale by use of false or forged identification cards; and
2. He did not know, and could not reasonably have known of the falsity or forgery; and
3. He exercised reasonable diligence to determine the veracity of the information (representation). (Ord. 153, 8-21-1972)
