7-1-11: CALL FOR ASSISTANCE:
Every person eighteen (18) years of age and above who shall be present at a fire, shall be subject to the orders of the officer in command at such fire and shall render all the assistance in his power, and in the removal of and protection of property, and any person refusing to obey such orders, shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not exceeding two hundred dollars ($200.00); provided no person shall be bound to obey any such officer, unless such official character shall be known or be made known to such person. It shall be lawful for any Fire Chief or any assistant, or other person in command of the fire company to require any person eighteen (18) years and above with or without any motor vehicles that such person may own or control, to assist in hauling or conveying any fire apparatus to the place of the fire, and any such person who shall refuse to render such assistance when within his power to do so shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).
