A. Qualifications For Fire Personnel: Any person eighteen (18) years of age or more, who is able of body, and who lives in the city, may be an active fire department member, subject to the approval of the fire department membership. Associate membership may be extended by the voting membership to those persons who are not eligible due to physical, age or residential qualifications. Associate members shall not be issued equipment or respond to fire department emergencies.
B. Qualifications For Cadets: Any person sixteen (16) or seventeen (17) years of age, who is able of body, and who lives in the city, may be an active fire department cadet, subject to approval of the chief and cadet leadership. (Ord. 847, 12-14-2015)
