6-4-3-1: BLOCKS:
   A.   The length, width and shapes of blocks shall be determined with due regard to:
      1.   Provisions of adequate building sites suitable to the special needs of the type of use contemplated.
      2.   Zoning requirements governing setback limitations for the buildings anticipated.
      3.   Needs for convenient access, traffic movement, control and safety of street traffic.
      4.   Limitations and opportunity of topography.
   B.   The maximum allowable block length shall be one thousand three hundred twenty feet (1,320'). A block face length of six hundred feet (600') to eight hundred feet (800') is recommended.
   C.   Pedestrian crosswalks through a block shall be required where deemed essential to provide circulation, or access to schools, playgrounds, shopping centers, transportation and other community facilities. (Ord. 287, 11-8-1982)
