6-1-6: SUITABILITY:
Lands subject to flooding and land deemed to be topographically unsuitable should not be subdivided for residential purposes, nor for such other uses as may increase the danger to health, life or property or aggravate erosion or floods. The city participates in the federal flood control program and a map designating flood prone areas may be obtained from the city clerk.
The city planning commission shall not approve the subdivision land if upon adequate investigation the planning commission determines that in the best interest of the public the site is not suited for the proposed subdivision. (Ord. 287, 11-8-1982)
