Pursuant to the authority conferred by the Illinois Compiled Statutes the objectives of these regulations are to provide for the orderly, planned, efficient and economic development of the city; to facilitate adequate provisions for transportation, water supply, drainage, sanitary sewerage and health requirements; to achieve individual lots of reasonable utility and liveability; to encourage adequate provision for open space, recreational areas, school sites and other public ways and facilities; and to provide administrative and review procedures for the attainment of these objectives.
