10-2-2: AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS:
   A.   General Agricultural District (A-1):
      1.   The A-1 District is established for the following:
         a.   To provide for the continued use of land for predominately agricultural purposes;
         b.   To preserve undeveloped areas until they can feasibly be developed at urban standards and with adequate public safeguards of health, safety, and welfare; and
         c.   To provide a base (or holding) zoning classification for all newly annexed property.
   B.   Suburban District (A-2):
      1.   The A-2 District is established for the following:
         a.   To provide a location for the land situated on the fringe of the urban area that may be either agricultural or suburban in nature;
         b.   To accommodate a variety of urban and suburban uses, including single-family dwelling units, residential uses with farm animals on acreages and agricultural endeavors of a limited scale; and
         c.   To promote compatibility between uses and to encourage and provide an orderly transition from agricultural to urban uses. (Ord. 420, 12-18-2017)
