A. Safety: The driver of any vehicle shall not back the same unless such movement can be made with reasonable safety and without interfering with other traffic.
B. Distance Restriction: The driver of any vehicle shall not back the same a greater distance than is necessary to permit it to enter the immediately available proper driving lane. No extended backing shall be permitted. (1985 Code § 18-17)
