There is hereby created a baseball and softball board, consisting of five (5) members appointed by the city council, for terms of four (4) years, to serve until their respective successors have been appointed and qualified; provided, that the initial members shall be appointed one for a term of one year, one for a term of two (2) years, one for a term of three (3) years, and two (2) for terms of four (4) years. Thereafter, said terms shall be four (4) years for all successor members of said board. (1985 Code § 1-44)
