The building inspector shall make all the required inspections, or may accept reports of inspection by authoritative and recognized services or individuals; and all reports of such authoritative service or individuals; or the building inspector may engage such expert as may be deemed necessary to investigate and report upon unusual technical issues that may arise, subject to approval of the Mayor and any additional costs incurred by the town for such unusual technical issue shall be paid by the applicant.
