§ 150.070 OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR; ESTABLISHED; APPOINTMENT AND GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF BUILDING INSPECTOR; DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY.
   (A)   The office of building inspector is hereby established, which shall be headed by the building inspector and shall have such other personnel as may from time to time be authorized by the Town Council.
   (B)   The building inspector shall be appointed or designated by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Town Council, and shall have the powers and perform the duties prescribed for the office by this title and all other ordinances, resolutions or orders of the Town Council, and as prescribed by the West Virginia Code for municipal officers charged with the administration and enforcement of building, plumbing, gas, electrical and other technical codes which municipalities are authorized to adopt pursuant to state law.
   (C)   The building inspector may delegate powers to and require performance of duties by such deputies, assistants and other personnel as may from time to time be assigned or detailed by the Mayor and Town Council.
   (D)   For all purposes under all technical codes adopted by the Town of Marlinton and all other ordinances of the Town of Marlinton, the building inspector shall be the responsible “building official”, “code official” or such other designation for such officer as used within such, technical codes or ordinances of the town. The building inspector shall be vested with all authority, duty and responsibility permitted and authorized by all technical codes and other ordinances of the town and to the full extent of the licenses and certificates possessed by the building inspector.
