(A) (1) Street and park trees are suitable for planting under or near overhead utility lines.
(2) Most of these species are approved by your local power company as part of its tree replacement program.
(B) Park and yard trees are intended to be planted well away from utility lines and at least 25 feet away from buildings.
(C) (1) Many of these trees are native to West Virginia, but trees that are not native are known to perform quite well in this area.
(2) However, all trees do have limitations and cannot survive without proper planting and maintenance.
(3) Many problems can be avoided by planting the proper tree species in the correct growing sites.
