§ 31.16 DUTIES AND POWERS.
   The Town Recorder shall:
   (A)   Be the chief custodian of all municipal documents and records of the town, except as otherwise specified in this code;
   (B)   Act as the certifying officer of the town with respect to all official documents requiring such certification and shall be the custodian of the corporate seal of the town;
   (C)   Establish and maintain an orderly system for filing and archiving town records in secure containers; prepare town letters, correspondence, and other official documents of the town;
   (D)   Give notice of and attend all meetings of Council, keep the journal of its proceedings, authenticate by signature and record in full in a book kept for the purpose all ordinances and resolutions of the Council, prepare and keep up to date an index of all such ordinances and resolutions, and keep all such records available for public inspection;
   (E)   Make and certify copies of any ordinance, resolution or order of Council;
   (F)   Prepare and cause to be served all notices required to be given to any person, firm or corporation, and after the proper service and return of any notice, to file and preserve the same;
   (G)   Perform such other duties as may be required by this code, by general law, or by town ordinance or lawful order of the Mayor.
